Album Review: SISTER SIN – Now and Forever

SISTER SIN is a female fronted metal band from Sweden and have released their third full length album entitled Now and Forever on October 22, 2012 though Victory Records. Far from any new metal stereotypes SISTER SIN’s sound is reminiscent of classic metal fused with a punk attitude and delivery. Described as “rebellious” “unapologetic” and “intense” and rightfully so, Now and Forever will leave you with a sore neck; this album will keep your head banging. As a whole Now and Forever has a consistent energy from one track to the next, including a piano ballad “Morning After”. Although a slower and softer song, it picks back up with a wicked solo and holds up to the rest of the album. The distortion in the guitar and the heavy bass, combined with the drums and the unique vocal qualities of Liv Jagrell makes this album memorable. If you aren’t a metal fan, this could be the album to convert you.
Top songs: Fight Song, In It For Life, Shades of Black
